Sectional garage doors
Panels fold up inside the garage, so no space is needed outside. Well insulated, secure and made to fit almost any opening.
Sectional garage doors in Inverness
There are many reasons to choose a sectional garage door, from the high level of practicality, insulation and security they offer to the huge range of styles and colours available. Sectional garage doors are made in separate horizontal panels, hence the name, and each section folds individually as the door opens and runs up under the garage ceiling.
Unlike up and over doors, sectional garage doors do not swing out, so they need no space outside the garage to open and you can park right in front of them. Because of their versatility, they can be custom fitted to garage openings of almost any size or shape, such as rectangular or arched, making them the preferred solution for many homes.
- Insulation: double-skinned, foam-filled panels help keep the warmth in, a real benefit in a Highland winter or where the garage is attached to the house
- Security: a solid, multi-panel door that sits tight to the frame when closed
- Convenience: often automated, so the door opens at the press of a button
- Choice: a wide range of panel designs, surface finishes and colours

Common questions
Do sectional garage doors need space in front of the garage?
No. The door opens vertically and runs up under the ceiling, so you can park right in front of it.
Are sectional garage doors insulated?
Double-skinned sectional doors are foam-filled and insulate well. Hörmann's LPU 67 Thermo, with 67 mm thermally broken sections, gives even better insulation.
Can a sectional door fit an arched or unusual opening?
Yes. Sectional doors can be custom fitted to openings of almost any size or shape, including arched openings.
Are sectional garage doors automatic?
Most are ordered with an electric opener, so the door opens from a remote control, but they can also be operated by hand.
